RV dump stations open in winter
Lots of dump stations shut down for winter. Some close when the water is shut off; others are behind a campground gate that's locked until spring. Every station below comes from an official operator page, which we quote on the station's own page.
Read the label. Only a few sources say the dump station itself stays open all winter. Most say the campground is open year-round and has a dump station. That's usually a good sign, but not a guarantee. For example, Bandelier's Juniper Campground in New Mexico is open year-round, yet its dump station is turned off from mid-October to mid-April. Also note that many stations are for registered campers only. Call ahead.

Before you go
- Check whether non-campers can dump, and what it costs. See our dump station guide for typical fees.
- Freezing nights can shut off water even at year-round sites.
